Home and Community Care Program (HACC)
This program offers volunteers opportunities in the following areas:
Office duties
To become involved in the day to day administrative duties related to a busy office environment, computer skills would be an advantage.
Volunteer Community Transport Drivers
This is a position for people who are looking to engage directly with clients, while providing transport to and from appointments. Current drivers license essential for this position.
Supported Shopping Program
This new program offers an opportunity to work directly with clients who are socially isolated and who have difficulties in going shopping. Volunteers will collect clients from their home and accompany them to, during and from the shops. Volunteers will assist clients in carrying purchased goods to and from the vehicle. Volunteers on this program will have access to petrol reimbursement.
Group Facilitation assistant
This is a position for people who are looking for an opportunity to engage directly with clients in a group situation. The position will require good interpersonal communication skills.

Family and Community Support Program

Community Development Program (CD)
The Community Development Program aims to engage residents of Gungahlin in community activities. The aim is to help alleviate social isolation often experienced by people living in newly developed regions. Activities offered through the program include skills development courses; English conversation classes; supportive discussion and craft groups for parents.
