Who is it For?
Gungahlin Youth Centre (GYC) is a community service for all Gungahlin youth, aged between 11 and 25, with a focus on 12 to 18 year olds.
GYC has trained and experienced youth workers who are employed to develop and facilitate a youth program that meets the needs of Gungahlin youth.
GYC Program
Youth involvement is central to program developement and is achieved through researching, planning and decision making with the young people. All program activities and services run by or affiliated with GYS are conducted under a drug, alcohol, weapon and violence free ethos, encouraging a safe environment.
Our Philosophy
GYC operates under a philosophy of self and community responsibility, encouraging young people who use the service to be responsible for upholding the ethos and therefore maintaining their safe environment.
